• Responsible for defining and establishing cost-effective methods and efficient manufacturing processes with associated facilities to meet the program requirements.
• These must take into account factors such as Logistics, Process Flow, Inventory and Lead Times and be fully compatible with Process Specifications and SHE compliance.
• You must be able to plan and implement capital expenditure schemes by generating equipment specifications as well as developing Business Cases for expenditure approval and provide technical assistance for supplier selection and performance monitoring.
• Continuous improvement using Six Sigma techniques, capability analysis, SPC, FMEA.
• Involvement in the creation of all documentation including procedures, manufacturing instructions, all safety and risk assessments.
• Managing approx 5 Manufacturing Engineers.
The ideal candidate will have:
• HNC/HND Manufacturing / Production Engineering or similar with relevant experience desirable but not essential.
• NEBOSH General Certificate (highly desirable)
• Manufacturing / process engineering experience a must.
• Previous assembly manufacturing experience.
• Must have previous management experience.
• Previous Health and safety experience is highly desirable.
• Lean Methodology, Continuous Improvement experience.
