• To manage all aspects of the cheese diary operations from Goods In to release of Finished Goods.
• To liaise with other departments e.g. Engineering, Technical as required, to ensure the smooth operation of the area.
• Ensure that the department is operating in line with Health and Safety and Food Safety legislation at all times
• To adhere to the company quality system, including carrying out of audits both internally and externally, completion of all appropriate documentation and support of the Technical Department as required during customer visits.
• To maintain quality standards against specification and highlight any deviations to the Technical Department.
• To actively encourage a culture of CI within the manufacturing environment. To work with the Manufacturing Controller to identify all costs associated with the process and identify opportunities to reduce.
• To ensure all staff are adequately trained in all compulsory safety, quality and manufacturing policies and work instructions.
The ideal candidate will have: -
• We would consider a Food Science graduate who’s looking for a start in the food manufacturing industry, who’s enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• IT literate.
