SUMMARY OF KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Check and approve drawings for drafting standards, functionality (including stack ups and geometric tolerancing)
and supporting documentation to Henrob Standards and Procedures.
Ensure parts are properly introduced and that the impact of changes are reflected through the product life cycle
(configuration control).
Develop the standard of drafting within Henrob (define standards, working practices, limits, procedures etc.).
Develop improved use of CAD system (through leadership and formal training).
Support use of MRP/business system through correct data entry.
Support drawing issue and change process.
Provide engineering guidance and develop good DO practices.
Provide guidance on design for manufacture and manufacturing process development to manufacturing, subcontract
manufacturing and purchasing.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
Formal Academic Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Educated to at least HNC
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years drafting experience with previous responsibility for checking and issuing drawings
Highly experienced in use of Geometric Tolerancing and stack-up analysis.
Experienced in producing drafts from 3D/solid models (parasolid).
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Drawing/Part release and Engineering
Change Control process.
