• An agent of change, challenging existing practices with modern lean / six sigma thinking and techniques.
• Support the front line management team by identifying and addressing medium / long term issues by identifying the root cause and taking the appropriate steps to remove issues.
• Develop communication routes through to the front line employees by engagement with KPI’s and in problem solving.
• Provide a highly structured and strategic resource with a helicopter view of activities (aligned with the 3 year plan).
• Analyse process capabilities, and liaise with other support functions to improve process capabilities.
• Develop and deliver training packages to ensure that the front line teams have the necessary skills to deliver the site KPI’s.
• Provide a continuous improvement resource for the site.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Degree or equivalent, ideally in an engineering discipline.
• Understanding of continuous improvement techniques and experience of applying these in a manufacturing environment (ideally supported by a recognised qualification).
• Experience of conducting training needs analysis and creating and delivering appropriate training solutions (ideally supported by a recognised qualification).
• Excellent PC skills including use of Excel.
