Our clients are an international organisation, renowned for its compact connection and sealing technology solutions for piping, vessel and pressure containment in the oil and gas, nuclear, processing, chemical, mining and aerospace industries.
The company is now urgently seeking to recruit an experienced Project Mechanical Engineer with previous experience in the oil and gas industry.
Reporting to the Sub-Sea manager, you will be based in Port Talbot and the anticipated but not limited to duties are set out below;
Main duties of the role:
• Receiving and acknowledging customer enquiries for Optima & Associated Sub-Sea Equipment
• Review of Purchase Order and project specifications and scheduling what equipment is required for quotation
• Design of Sub-Sea Equipment for both sales quotation and assistance for manufacturing purpose to suit specification and customer requirements
• Preparing and collating documentation packages as required to satisfy project and customer requirements
• Liaising with the customer regarding quotation an technical issues as required
• Assisting with the on going projects as and when applicable based on time availability
The position may require occasional visits to customer, some of which are overseas and as such national and international travel may be required.
Candidate requirements:
• The successful Candidate must be capable of working independently and have the ability to manage projects from inception to completion;
• Relevant engineering degree or relevant Time Served experience
• Experience in oil, gas or chemical processing design and project management.
• The ability to produce and review high quality technical reports to predefined deadlines
• Solid Works Design experience
• Excellent communication skills
• A flexible and proactive approach to work
