Technical Consultant

£35,000 per annum plus up to £20k+ bonus
Wiltshire, Berkshire, London
Onsite with clients along M4 corridor
The client is a recognized provider and market leader in management software. They are building a solid client base and work requests are flooding in so subsequently require a strong Technical Consultant to carry out work on client sites across the M4 Corridor.
The role will require analyzing the clients business requirements, then developing processes and workflows using the custom product to develop a web based applicationin HTML, Javascript and SQL.
Initially the Technical Consultant may be involved in a Pre Sales capacity working with the Account Manager/Salesman to provide technical demonstrations and build prototypes. Once a sale has been completed the Technical Consultant will work in a Post Sales capacity on-site with the client taking detailed requirements, building a bespoke solution in HTML, Javascript using the custom product, configuring the system and testing then handover. The Technical Consultant will also be involved in training and documentation. Considerable coding in Javascript, HTML and SQL will be involved in the configuration stage
The successful Technical Consultant will have:
A solid background in coding in HTML and Javascript and constructing queries in SQL
A solid ability to capture the clients requirements and understand the specification
An excellent background in a client facing Technical role in a client facing software developer or consultant, Pre Sales or Post Sales type role
An excellent professional appearance and attitude
A solid technical background in either Software Development or System/Software Implementation Consultant
Knowledge of tender responses and proposal writing
Excellent communication skills
This role is for a Technical Consultant who has extensive experience in a similar type role who is a strong coder in HTML and Javascript and working with SQL server.
