Operations Manager Package £50,000 to £60,000 + benefits
This client is seeking an experienced charismatic Operations Manager to initiate and grow manufacture of a potentially market changing component in the power supply industry.
This crucial requirement is for an individual to transform a current product design, test and prototype build facility into a fully functioning customer led manufacturing Unit.
It is envisaged that the successful individual will have occupied a central role in a greenfield / start up operation and will offer both Engineering expertise (minimum requirement Degree level qualification in an Engineering discipline) and excellent commercial awareness.
The ability to implement structured, coherent strategies in process, product and supply chain development is fundamental to the development of this position.

Principal responsibilities are as follows:
In conjunction with the senior management team ensure overall business profit objectives are achieved. Prepare annual departmental budgets and strategic plans for Manufacturing and Product Development in line with business objectives.
Devise and manage the implementation of the Company’s manufacturing strategy.
Establish and manage inhouse/outsourced manufacturers worldwide to deliver high volume and high quality product to meet business plans and customer service level agreements/expectations.
Source key components and negotiate key supply agreements to deliver best quality, price and delivery terms. Plan and manage the purchase and storage of materials to meet manufacturing plan, negotiate to achieve best purchase, whilst ensuring that stockholding costs are kept to a minimum. .
Manage effective test and reliability within manufacturing processes worldwide.
Manage effective logistics of shipping product to customer to meet agree delivery schedules. Liaise with customer service to advise of issues and to assist in problem resolution.
Manage manufacture of all new products. Liaise effectively with New Product Design and Sales teams to ensure products are designed for cost effective high volume manufacture.
