There is currently an opportunity for a Technical Liability Claims Handler to join the Brit Insurance Bureau within the Cardiff Service Centre. Already experienced within the claims arena, you’ll have a thorough working knowledge of liability claims.
Working from a desk base in a busy and successful team, the Technical Liability Claims Handler will take ownership of, and deal with all queries relating to General, Product, Employers (including referral to Rehabilitation services a appropriate) and Public Liability claims.
You will be the primary contact/referral for the Client, Team and UK Third Party Administrators (TPA’s). You will use your skills and experience to make informed decisions as well as using empathy and understanding to assess and manage each case on its own merits.
Within this client facing role you will be responsible for the receipt, review and management of technical reports and assisting TPA’s in the day to day proactive handling of their claims in addition to answering routine correspondence and dealing with incoming calls.
You will have/Will Be:
Liability handling experience

A working knowledge of the Principles of Insurance
Be able to apply a thorough knowledge of current case law, statute and other legal liabilities
Understand the principle of indemnity and its application
