Our client is a very established and reputable South Wales law firm who are currently looking to recruit a Communications Assistant to join their Cardiff office.
The successful candidate will report to the Online Marketing and Communications Manager and will work closely with relevant staff from our Marketing, Business Development and IT Departments to help deliver the internal communication strategy.
The main responsibilities will be:-
· To assist with communicating news items to all staff using a variety of mediums;
· Research potential news items and draft articles for further dissemination across the Firm;
· Assist in producing and communicating regular internal news bulletins;
· Assist in investigating improvements and new ways for internal communications;
· Assist in drafting and uploading text and articles to the intranet;
· Assist in planning and promotion of internal events;
· Act as support to the Online Marketing and Communications Manager in terms of diary management for internal an external meetings and other admin as required.
This role is open to graduates preferably with experience of communications and/or marketing.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with staff and should therefore possess strong listening and adaptation skills.
Time management and good organisational skills are essential for this role as you will be expected to multi task and time manage work accordingly.
You will be required to work as part of a team and support other members within the team as and when necessary.
You will be competent in using Word, Excel and Powerpoint and will be comfortable in preparing and assisting with the delivery of presentations.
