Our client is a very established and reputable South Wales Law Firm who are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Executive to join their Property Division in their Cardiff office.
The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with the Business Development Manager (Property) and key Partners to drive forward marketing activity in line with the Firm’s strategy.
The successful candidate will have sound marketing and communications skills and should be experienced in managing projects. The role will be varied and encompass the full marketing mix of events, sponsorships, advertising, public relations, direct mail and research for the responsible practice area (Property).
The main responsibilities will be:-
· To execute marketing plans to achieve the practice area’s business objectives;
· To provide a project management service for all marketing activity for the practice area;
· Market research to predict trends and changes in the market;
· Collate and brief news stories to the appointed PR Agency and monitor coverage for the relevant practice area;
· Liaise with the appointed design company on all design work for the relevant practice area, to include fully briefing all jobs and project managing the process to deadline;
· Liaise with all external suppliers;
· Event organisation including conferences, seminars, roundtables, and corporate hospitality
· Maintain a current awareness of issues within the legal field and to think these through into business opportunities;
· Establish excellent working relationships and personal credibility with the practice area heads, Partners, other fee earners and staff across the Firm
This role is open to graduates with experience of undertaking a marketing role in the professional services sector.
You will have an understanding of client relationship management and possess excellent listening skills couple with the confidence, tact and ability to challenge, question and persuade others.
You will have the ability to put complex issues across verbally and in writing to individuals and groups at all levels.
You will have the drive to focus on a number of interrelated tasks and ensure deadlines are met, therefore excellent time management skills are essential for this role.
You will be competent in using Word, Excel and Powerpoint and will be comfortable in preparing and assisting with the delivery of presentations.
This role will suit a person with strong marketing experience preferably from a professional services background. An understanding of the legal environment and experience of dealing with the legal press would also be a distinct advantage.
