My client is a leading global services firm, providing consultancy services to clients in more than 100 counties. They are currently seeking a "Senior Disaster Recovery Manager" in their Information Security Engineering department. You will be responsible for supporting initiatives for our EMEA region on a strategic level through analysis of business objectives and technical requirements. You will provide leadership in the development and testing of the disaster recovery (DR) plans for company's business segments while incorporating company's global technology infrastructure goals.
Specific Responsibilities:
Define and develop seamless DR integration services and plans.
Incorporate infrastructure DR plans into corporate business continuity plan(BCP).
Lead DR plan testing and participate in corporate BCP testing.
Participate substantively in strategic initiatives.
Work cross-functionally to accomplish overall objectives.
Managing multiple DR/BCP vendors and contracts.
Coordinate and lead disaster recovery testing and document the results.
Review and maintain hardware requirements for our disaster recovery contract.
Perform reviews of our disaster recovery procedures and ensure they are current and enforceable and meet business objectives.
Develop excellent working relationships with internal technology leads, business unit leaders and vendors.
Serve as a resource for colleagues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of disaster recovery and business continuity.
Ability to be able to work under pressure and think quickly in the event of a true disaster.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (concentration in MIS or equivalent) plus a minimum of 10-15+ years relevant industry experience in complex global IT environments.
Prior experience managing/leading large, complex Disaster Recovery (DR) projects and associated teams.
Comfortable working with executive level staff throughout the full life-cycle of DR planning/testing.
Consultative experience in related industry.
Working familiarity with a structured plan, design and implementation DR/continuity methodology.
Demonstrated ability to assess business requirements and define DR solutions that will meet current requirements and scale in support of future growth.
Be a team player and equally comfortable working/leading collaborative projects across functional areas.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must have a passion for DR solutions and be customer focused to drive consistent high-quality delivery.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure - including critical process flows.
Services installation and support.
Ability to be flexible to support multiple time zones, countries and various cultures as needed.
Ability to work outside of the normal work hours as well as weekends to support DR testing is crucial. Must be able to respond to business needs when called upon at any given moment.
CBCP or MBCP certification desired.
